Domenico Sperlonga, the founder, passed on his passion and expertise to his son Alexander, who continued the family's secret methods. Today, the third generation, represented by Domenico's grandson, carries on this legacy, ensuring the pursuit of excellence and sharing the fruits of this long-standing tradition with customers worldwide.

Carefully hand-picked and freshly pressed after harvest, L'Olio dei Papi, or the Oil of the Popes, is an Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil that is the result of a rigorous selection process. The olives are sourced from groves that have demonstrated the best symbiosis with the local terroir over centuries. This delicacy is a true expression of our culture, reflecting the traditions, values, and passion for the land that have been passed down through the generations.

The stories of the elders in Lower Latium, who recounted the popes' fondness for the oil from these lands, inspired us to conduct a historical study that confirmed these accounts. The popes valued our oil so highly that they encouraged the cultivation of olive trees in the southern regions of the Papal States. Inspired by this rich history, we have meticulously selected a premium quality oil that captures the ancient flavors beloved in Papal Rome, appreciated as early as the 18th century.
